Phantoms hosted Solent in their last home game of the season!

The Phantoms were determined to secure a playoff spot in what has been an impressive season. With all to play for, it was always going to be an exciting game.

The Phantoms started strongly and put some early pressure on the Solent defence. Kodie Duguid won the puck and passed to Captain Hana Meszarosova, who delivered on the opportunity to put the Phantoms ahead.

The first period ends with the Phantoms leading 1-0.

Another strong start to the period from the Phantoms who continued to press Solent. The defence would once again combine with the forwards when Aimee Neaverson passed to Ruby Allen, whose incredible stick work allowed her to slide the puck past the netminder doubling the Phantoms lead.

After some tenacious play from the Phantoms, Ruby Allen passed to Saara Karvonen, who fired the puck past the netminders blocker making it 3-0. The Phantoms not only showed their attacking skills, but kept Solent away from netminder Katie Plumb, who when needed made some impressive saves.

In quick succession, Phantoms went down to 3 players and Solent 4. The Phantoms stood strong and kept it at 3-0 until the end of the second.

Solent came out strong in the third period and got one back with a solo effort from Chantelle Air. This however was all Solent were going to get.

Phantoms won 3-1 and secured a spot in play offs in their second season together. A huge accomplishment for all involved.

Playoffs will be on the 27-29th May at IceSheffield, tickets for the weekend pass are £5 and will be available to purchase in advance or at the door.
