First Period:

The Phantoms, showcasing defensive teamwork, battled the Comets evenly for the majority of the first period. Phantoms’ netminder, Plumb (#98)  showcased remarkable skill with a series of consecutive glove saves, maintaining a strong presence in front of the net. It was only in the final minute that the Comets broke through, with a trio of quickfire goals that changed the complexion of the game. The Cardiff goals were scored by Ball (#53), assisted by Cannon (#27) at 19:08, Harewood (#87) unassisted at 19:34, and Taylor (#15) unassisted at 19:53, leaving the Phantoms to regroup during the break.
