The Phantoms take on Solent Amazons in their last away game of the season. With both sides being in fine form, it was bound to be a good game!

Phantoms took and early lead when defence women Kodie Duguid combined with captain Hana Meszarosova who once again showed her shooting skills and fired the Phantoms in front!

Hana Meszarosova has then received a penalty meaning that Solent were on the Power Play! Even with less players, the Phantoms did not ease up! They had several shots on the netminder and defended perfectly as a unit!

Once back to full strength, the Phantoms continued to press and Ruby Allen has taken a beautiful shot which flew into the top right corner, doubling the Phantoms advantage!

It didn’t take long for Allen to combine with Karvonen whose precise shooting paid off and gaining her first goal of the game. Solent against the run of play did get a goal back but this did not phase the Phantoms.

Allen who is on firing form, got her second goal after she flicked the puck underneath the netminders pads! Whilst on the power play, Allen completed her hatrick after receiving a perfectly timed pass from Karvonen.

The first period ended 1-5 in the Phantoms favour.

Only a few seconds into the second period and defender Aimee Neaverson got her first assist of the game when she passed to Karvonen who was not going to miss the opportunity to get another goal.

After some powerful skating, Karvonen found herself with a 1-1 with the netminder, she did not disappoint and completed her hatrick in exquisite style.

The second period ended 1-7 to the Phantoms.

With the third period begging, the Phantoms knew that Solent would come out strong and they got a few early shots off.

Meszarosova saw Jo Saville in the perfect position and after some battling with the Solent defence has got the puck to her. Saville has then slotted the puck in the back of the net adding to the Phantoms impressive goal tally!

Whilst on the power play, Ruby Allen has taken a chance and chipped the puck. With the form she was in, she could not miss adding a forth goal to her tally.

Solent managed to get another goal back right at the end against the run of play on the breakaway. The score ended Solent 2- 9 Phantoms!

An incredible win for the Phantoms!

Player of the match was Ruby Allen.

The Phantoms next fixture is at home to Solent Amazons on the 22nd April.
